I am a part-time freelance writer with a regular series in a UK County magazine. I have a love of many sports but my particular passion is road cycling.
As well as I following the modern professional peloton closely, I have a particular interest in researching the rich history of the road cycling; bike racing has many great characters and legendary stories in its past just waiting to be discovered.
I have regularly travelled to the Alps to watch the best riders in the world battle for the yellow jersey in the Tour de France in the most challenging but most beautiful arena any sport can offer. On occasion I have even dragged myself up the mountains aboard my trusted bike. It is no exaggeration to say that Alpe d'Huez on Tour de France day truly is one of sports greatest spectacles - even more so when you've ridden it yourself only a few hours before.
I hope that my writing is able to convey the excitement bike racing has to offer and evokes a passion in my readers similar to that which I feel for this wonderful sport.
